Choo Choo my Little Boy is Two!

Yesterday we celebrated my little boy's second birthday! I can't believe it! He is getting so big! We were very lucky to have such a gorgeous day to celebrate the occasion. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze, it was perfect weather! The whole family gathered for a train ride earlier in the morning and then later, after nap, we had some fun outside along with cake and presents.

I was able to capture my new all time favorite photo of my sweetheart climbing between some trees in the back yard... he just melts my heart!!!!

The cousin's were there to help celebrate along with Grampy and Grammy, Aunt Les and Uncle Cor.... The family picture was a little rough to get all the little ones looking at the same time:)

Grammy made a Choo Choo cake and cookies for the occasion
and the little one blew out his two candles.

Last, but certainly not least, we opened some presents, a new camo coat from Uncle Solie and me, new music toys, a potty watch from mom and dad, a new train set from G and G, and a dress up doctors outfit!

A Sweet Little Moment...

I wanted to share a sweet moment that I had with the little man today. Sometimes, that little one just melts my heart. Today, after we built a snowman we decided to warm up by snuggling in some blankets and reading some of our favorite books. I decided that we could break the rules just once and watch a little Sesame Street together. When we turned the television on he was so excited because he isn't allowed to watch TV usually. He snuggled right up and put his head on my shoulder then he whispered in my ear,  "Hold Say-Say's hand, please." Awe! He is just a little angel,  and he makes all the long hours I put in worth it.

A Sunday Kind of Love...

Our dear friends are getting prepared for their sweet baby girl (Anneka) to arrive in a few months. Last Sunday, I was able to take some photos of the couple. I hope to make some invitations for their baby shower with a couple of these pictures!  It is so exciting getting prepared for this special time in their lives.

Meet Evan Witucki!

This weekend we were able to go our wonderful friends' house and meet their amazing little man, Evan. Technically, he should still be in his Mommy's tummy but Evan was ready to meet the world a little earlier than expected. And still he weighs a healthy eight pounds! I was so happy to see our friends thriving as parents already! A little sleep deprived but thriving nonetheless. And also, I must mention that I forgot to get a picture of Mom and Evan, but she looks absolutely wonderful! You can't even tell that this woman just had a baby! Evan was a very happy baby for our first visit with him... he slept like an angel, and was perfectly fine being handed off from person to person! Congratulations Jeff and Steph! We are so happy for you, and we look forward to spending much more time with your adorable son!

One of the most endearing moments of the night...( it brought a couple tears to my eyes when I thought about it on the drive home) was when Todd was passed Evan and feeling not quite comfrotable, loving father, Jeff, came to the rescue to offer some pointers to his friend on how to hold him. It just melted my heart to see some of our best friends share special moments like this together. I am so very thankful for the friendships we have, and for the oppurtunity to go through these most joyous milestones of life with one another.

Fine Motor Skills

As a preschool teacher I had to change my sensory table out weekly, which was good because the children never really had the chance to get bored with the activities!  Now that I don't have to change the items out as often I try to put more skillful items in the sensory table that the little one can practice. We do not have the need for the school size sensory table, so we just use his water table as a sensory table now during the winter months.

For Feburary, we used uncooked noodles and pipe cleaners in the sensory table! He loves practicing his fine motor skills by placing the noodles on the pipe cleaners! The pipe cleaners are so much easier at his age then string, he is able to grip them firmly and they are so much more sturdy. I love watching him focus! Such determination in his eyes! What a little angel!

Some Love Lyrics Tonight...

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true, nothing that I wouldn't do, go to the end of the earth for you, to make you feel my love...

I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep, cause I miss you baby, and I don't want to miss a thing...

I don't want the whole world, the sun, the moon, and all their light, I just want to be the only girl you love all your life...

When the night, has come, and the land is dark, and the moon, is the only light we see, no I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid, just as long, as you stand, stand by me...

You were my strength when I was weak, you were my voice when I couldn't speak, you were eyes when I couldn't see, you saw the best there was in me, lifted the earth when I couldn't reach, you gave me faith cause you believe, I'm everything I am because you loved me...
You've got to, kiss and angel good morning, and let her know you think about her when you're gone, kiss an angel good morning, and love her like the devil when you get back home...

My baby makes me smile, Lord, don't she make me smile. She's never far away, or too tired to say, I want to, she's always a lady, just like a lady should be, but when they turn out the lights, she's still my baby to me. Cause when we get behind closed doors, when she lets her hair hang down, and she makes me glad that I'm her man, oh, no one knows what goes on behind close doors...

And rain falls angry on the tin roof, as we lie awake in my bed. You're my survival, you're my living proof. My love is alive and not dead. Tell me that we belong together.
Dress it up with the trappings of love. I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips,
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above...
Stars shining bright above you, night breezes seem to whisper I love you, birds singing in the sick amore tree, dream a little dream of me...
Wise men say, only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you...

She knows the man I am, and she forgives me when I can't, the devil man, he don't stand a chance, she loves me like Jesus does...

I don't want you to be no slave, I don't want you to work all day, but I want, you to be true, and I just want to make love to you. All I want, is to wash your clothes, I don't want, to keep you indoors, there is nothing for you to do but keep me making love to you...
If I never wake in the morning, would she ever doubt, the way I feel about her in my heart? If tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I loved her? Did I try in every way, to show her everyday that she's my only one...

We go a party and everyone turns to see, this beautiful lady that's walking around with me.
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."
I feel wonderful because I see the love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all. Is that you just don't realize how much I love you...

And I will love you, baby - Always. And I'll be there forever and a day - Always.
I'll be there till the stars don't shine, till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind and I'll love you - Always...

To really love a woman let her hold you, till ya know how she needs to be touched
You’ve gotta breathe her - really taste her till you can feel her in your blood
And when you can see your unborn children in her eyes you know you really love a woman...

Everyday I live, try my best to give all I have to you, thank the stars above, that we share this love me and you...

As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I've known proves that it's right
Because you're mine, I walk the line

Homemade Valentines

Today, we made some homemade Valentines for our friends at ECFE class. We decided to go with the universal sign for "love" since many of our friends in class speak the language. We traced the little mans hand and while I cut the hands out, the little one was gluing and snickering a card for Mom and Dad!

When we were ready I had the little guy put the glue on the hearts...

Then we pasted them on the hand print, pressed down the two fingers, and he carefully placed on a heart shaped sticker on top...
I helped him by writing "I <3 you" and printing his name on his cards...

They are super sweet! I think they are way more cute then store bought too!
 (Not to mention much cheaper!)

And then... we did more stickers... and got a little silly with them!!!
