Brosia's Autumn Bridal Shower

On this lovely autumn day I hosted my friend Brosia's Bridal Shower. I have not known Brosia for all that long, but I do know that she is one of the most down to earth and kind-hearted individuals I have ever met. There are so many things that I love about her but my favorite thing would probably be the fact that she is so relaxed, and we can just be ourselves around each other. I am absolutely honored to share her and her soon-to-be husbands friendship. Below are a few snap shots from her special day.

Much like myself, Ambrosia loves the outdoors, so I was thrilled when she agreed to the outdoor bridal shower! I envisioned a little more color with the trees but the snow last week had made most of the leaves shed. Either way, the weather was beautiful today and for that I was ever so thankful!

For the shower, I served two types of chili along with homemade bread to keep everyone's tummies warm! I made hot apple cider and served a variety of autumn treats as well. The biggest hit was probably the Carmel Apple Crisp Cheesecake.

The bride wore a wristlet corsage that I had made for her at a local floral shop. While jackets may not be the most eloquent bridal shower attire, the atmosphere made up for the lack of fashion. After introductions and soup, we gathered around the fire to eat dessert and watch the bride open her gifts. I am so thankful for the friends and family members that traveled the distance to shower Brosia with love and gifts as she begins the journey into marriage.
