Our October Getaway

Well to start, this getaway really had two parts mixed together. One part work and the other part was Josh and I having a vacation together. This part of the blog will be about  our alone time. To begin, we left for Miami where we stayed at the very luxurious Hotel Alexander on Miami Beach. While it did rain there for a couple days, every morning we woke up to sunshine and we had the ocean and pool to ourselves for at least an hour before other guests joined us. The ocean was crazy on this trip to Florida, the waves were huge and unless you are surfing there wasn't much you could do in the water. We preferred the calm pool and hot tub. After enjoying water time we retreated to our wonderful suite. We shared a four bedroom hotel room with my employers. It was fully furnished three bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, bar, and balcony. It was an amazing room. We also made time to go to South Beach and shop and eat of course!

After a couple days in Miami we boarded the Carnival Imagination Cruise, where we had our own room on the empress level. The ship was amazing. We had plenty of alone time during our five days on the ship, we swam every morning, gambled at the casino, went to the comedy club, listened to live music, and watched a live version of the newly wed game. It was so much fun. We also had fun at both locations that our ship docked, Key West, and Cozumel. We did lots of sight seeing, shopping, and bar hopping. My all time favorite drink was a Margarita at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville in Cozumel. We had a wonderful time, and as much as I loved spending stress free time with my husband, I love our life at home even more.

The other part of the trip was spent with the family that I have been working for, for over a year now. I have some fun photos of all of us, and the little guy that I will post later. We spent a lot of time with their family and enjoyed their company too. And this vacation the little guy did not poop on Josh's pillow!
